After a fantastic workshop session from Linkedin's own Elliot Roebuck hosted at Empire House, we have compiled our Key learnings from the session!
β
β
Stand Out and Make it Easy to Contact You: Craft a seamless profile that showcases your expertise, identity, and credibility. Use a professional photo against a neutral background. Ensure your profile settings allow everyone to see your hard work.
Get Endorsed: Reach out to clients, former bosses, or colleagues for brief endorsements. A diverse range of endorsements enhances your credibility and highlights valuable skills.
Skills: Highlight all your abilities in the profile section. Incorporate them into previous roles to demonstrate growth. Verify skills through LinkedIn Courses to add legitimacy and emphasise commitment to professional development
.Enhance Your Experience with Visuals: Enrich your profile with media showcasing your best work. Use documents, certificates, blogs, and photographs to visually demonstrate excellence in your field.
β
β
Target Your Desired Audience: Connect with people in your relevant industry to amplify engagement by up to 9 times.
Update your profile to reflect your current industry.
Engage with Industry Creators: Comment, like, and share posts by others to expand your network and create a community. Initial engagement helps gain recognition and industry visibility
.Optimise Your Content: Post 3-4 times a week using 3-5 relevant hashtags and optimised keywords. Post midweek in the mornings when LinkedIn is busiest
.Best-Performing Content: According to Richard Moore & Chris Do's webinar, Create 1x carousel, 1x text post, 1x text and image, and 1x poll per week. Carousels perform well as people spend more time engaging with them - The algorithm likes it. Upload carousels as PDFs for better visibility. Newsletters and articles do not perform well as they divert traffic away from Linkedin.

β
Invite Connections to Your Business Account: Use your personal profile to expand and grow your business profile.
Invite relevant connections who interact with your business account, increasing your posts' reach.
Personal Brand vs. Business Brand: Maintain different voices and ensure personal brand alignment with professional goals. Treat your business's tone as a person - great examples of this come from Monzo Bank & Aldi UK
βBusiness Analytics: Review your business profile's data to fine-tune your content strategy, identify the ideal target audience, and engage with key individuals.
